From Monday, June 25th to Sunday 22nd July is held in Florence, the XXIII edition of the Florence Dance Festival 2012. The prestigious location of the event is the Bargello National Museum in Via del Proconsolo. This year’s theme, chosen by the artistic directors of the event is “Rediscovering a new world”, in honor of the year dedicated to Vespucci, promoted by the City of Florence. The Brunelleschi Hotel, 4-star located in the characteristic Piazza Santa Elisabetta, is within walking distance from the Festival and it is an excellent starting point for visiting all the most important monuments of the historic center.
Florence Dance Festival 2012, feast of dance, music and colours
The Florence Dance Festival 2012 offers a full calendar of events and guests from all over the world. It will begin on June 25th with the Corps de Ballet of Teatro San Carlo in Naples that will open the festival with the event “Celebration”. It will continue with the Ballet of Milan (July 5th), the National Company of Raffaele Paganini (July 10th), the Ballet of St. Petersburg (July 17th), the Florence Dance Company (2/3, 22/23 July) and last generation companies such as Maktubnoir, InterferenCia y Tamashi Danza and the New Yorker Urban dance collective (July 7th): all exciting events of classical, neoclassical, contemporary and modern ballet.
