Florence Marathon, a long way in the history
A spectacular and unmissable appointment, that of the Florence Marathon that will electrify the entire town on Sunday, November 27th involving many athletes from all over the world and creating an event that will be followed by a lot of spectators. The opportunity is provided by the classical “Florence Marathon”, an international road race which this year reaches its 33rd edition. The Florence Marathon has become, gradually over the years, a pleasant ritual and an inevitable moment throughout the Tuscan capital, to celebrate and spend during the last Sunday of November, in an atmosphere not only competitive, but also rich in entertainment and fun, passion and culture.
The Florence Marathon will involve runners from all over Italy and the entire world on the canonical distance of 42 kilometers and 195 meters, embellished by a unique landscape, rich in architectural and artistic masterpieces. All this, together with the excellent organizational level achieved, they have made the event a very must in the field, making of it the second most important Italian event after the one in Rome. The Florence Marathon today is among the top 20 in the world, a prestigious award also emphasized by the RaiSport live commentary. The route, without gradients and always on paved roads, is included in the official calendar of international marathons, AIMS certified and recognized by the IAAF.

The XXXIII edition of the Florence Marathon will start from piazza Duomo and it will arrive in piazza Duomo. The suggestive and spectacular route, it will touch the Parco delle Cascine, Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti, the area of the Stadio Comunale and the beautiful Piazza Santa Croce.
